Super Unknown
The series Super Unknown was created using a large number of semi transparent layers to create an ethereal depth and richness. The colors run the spectrum creating an almost neutral field to which more opaque colors of the same are applied to provide contrast and variety. Paint was applied in a linear perpendicular direction giving the feel of the low resolution images captured by the Hubble telescope, yet in some pieces, a topographical image. The idea is to remind us of the potential mystery, beauty of our universe and the world in which we live.
