I am a Commission Artist. I have spent the last 20 years creating custom art for Architectural and Interior Design clients. I can paint and sculpt in most any style, technique and media. I produce art for both residential and commercial spaces. I make fine art paintings and sculpture, hand painted wall coverings, murals, and decorative applications. As well, I provide digitally printed products such as custom Type II wall-coverings, acoustic installations, and reproductions.
Having worked almost solely within the Interior Design industry I understand how my creations should fit within the design of a space; when to be subtle and when to be bold. I know the questions to ask you and your clients to get the best possible outcome. My goal is to be a cohesive part of the big picture. I love good design and want to be a part of it.
I've been painting, drawing and sculpting for as long as I can remember. As a child, I studied realism and life painting with Jean Conatser of Mt. Juliet for roughly eight years. Even at a young age, I was wholeheartedly dedicated to my practice. I absorbed everything she had to teach me.
I have produced more works for more clients than I can recall. Humble simple pieces, grandiose elaborate pieces and everything in between. I have enjoyed my work immensely, even in times of great challenge and pressure. Maybe even more-so in the later. I absolutely love to create and I will continue to do this work and continue to search for the next challenge until I can no longer produce art. This is what I was born to do.
My method is simple. We discuss the details of your project, you tell me about the limitations you have found, what works and what doesn't - colorway, size, media, subject, style and budget. We do a little brainstorming together - the ideal solution, the simple solution... We ruminate for a bit then I return to you with solutions and options. We work together to focus and refine those ideas until we arrive at the best possible concept.
